Black Graduate Careers Conference 2025
The Black Graduate Careers Conference is a free event designed to empower Black students and graduates to connect with employers, enhance their career skills, explore postgraduate opportunities, and discover pathways in STEM and business. The day will feature inspiring talks, an exhibition of employers actively seeking to hire Black graduates, and practical workshops where you can develop valuable career skills.
What to expect on the day:
- Keynote speeches from leading figures – Hear from industry pioneer Charlene Hunter MBE as she shares invaluable insights about finding your career in Tech. We will also be joined by TikTok science sensation Big Manny, who will bring his signature energy to the stage as he shares his journey and demonstrates how engaging STEM can be through his interactive experiments.
- Interactive career-focused workshops – Gain practical skills, refine your career strategy, and explore emerging opportunities through dynamic and interactive sessions led by industry experts and academic leaders across STEM, business and beyond.
- Careers exhibition with top employers – Meet recruitment teams from top organisations spanning STEM industries, finance, business, and the public sector. Discover graduate schemes, internships and immediate openings that could launch your professional journey.
- Higher education guidance – Current students, graduates and faculty members discuss how advanced degrees can accelerate your career, offering firsthand advice on navigating Master’s and PhD programmes.
- Exclusive Networking opportunities – Build valuable connections with potential employers, alumni and like-minded peers in the evening, featuring a DJ set and authentic Nigerian cuisine in our informal mixer and networking session.
