International Student Support
To help you feel settled when you arrive in London, our International Student Support team offers specialist immigration advice, webinars, trips, plus online and in-person welcome events.
Visas and immigration
If you don’t have a full British passport, settled or pre-settled status in the UK, or hold another visa that allows you to study in the UK for your entire course, you’ll need a student visa.
Applying for your student visa? You’ll need a CAS – a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies. We’ll issue your CAS when you meet all your offer conditions.
We work with our partner Enroly CAS Shield to collect and verify your personal details before we issue your CAS. When you’re eligible to receive a CAS, you’ll get an email to set up an account with Enroly CAS Shield.
For some courses, an ATAS (Academic Technology Approval Scheme) certificate is a condition of an offer. You’ll need this before you apply for a visa.
International student events
The International Student Support team runs discounted events throughout the year, including walking tours, theatre trips and visits to places like the Houses of Parliament, Windsor Castle and Harry Potter World.
You can also use HOST UK to book a short stay with host families across the UK and join the International Students House Travel Club to book trips and events around the world.
